Artists and trader terms and conditions

By applying I agree to release Plymouth Tattoo Convention and any of its employees from claims, actions and demands in law.

​

All artists will need to provide copies of their licence and public liability insurance, we will retain copies of these for our records and will show them to PCC upon request.

​

All artists must make sure they are working within their licence parameters and ensuring they adhere to cross contamination work procedures. 

​

All equipment to be PAT certified, (we will have an electrician on site but will incur an additional charge if your equipment needs to be certified at the event.)

​

Artists and traders must be finished setting up by 10am on the Saturday morning and have broken down their booths by (9pm) on the Sunday.

We will open to artists and traders the evening before for set up (an email with more information will be sent out 2 months before the event)

​

You cannot damage the booth walls in any way, screwing into them is prohibited and will incur extra charges if panels are damaged.

​

Please only use plastic clips and velcro tabs to affix banners and artwork to the booth walls. These will NOT be provided so please remember to bring them with you.

​

You are responsible and liable for any damage you cause to the event, venue or shell scheme. 

​

Artists must use hand washing stations provided between every client, keep work stations clean and tidy, by covering all work surfaces and beds to prevent any cross contamination issues. Cleaning all surfaces between clients to the best of your ability.

​

Artists must comply with any requests from the local authority and answer any questions they may have to the best of your ability.

​

Artists are individually responsible for checking I.D of their clients at the event and ensuring they have filled out disclaimers prior to getting tattooed. We do not provide disclaimers. We do not accept any responsibility for issues that arise between you and your client.

​

All clients must be given written and verbal aftercare instructions. 

​

Any artist exhibiting behaviour that is deemed to be unsafe or unhygienic will be asked to clear their booth and leave the premises, no refunds will be offered in this case.

​

The booth includes: 

2 electric sockets per booth, 

Artist work table 

Front display table 

Yellow hazardous waste bags 

Sharps container

General waste bag 

Bottled water and kitchen roll

​

Disposable and single use equipment only as we do not provide any sterilisation facilities at the event.

​

Stencil machines will be available and will be free of charge for artists working the event to use.  

​

Booth sizes are 2x2m and are charged at £325 inclusive of VAT 

Artist booth prices include a working pass lanyard, one weekend helper pass and three names for you to put on the guest list for discounted entry to the convention.

Traders will receive two working passes for the weekend per booth and the three names for the guest list. 

 

Please note: this is not a free guest list but a discounted rate for clients or friends to enter  (More info on the guest list will be sent to successful applicants prior to the event)

Free tea and coffee facilities will be in place for artists and traders for the duration of the weekend. 

​

In an effort to showcase as many artists, studios and traders as possible we cannot guarantee larger shops will be able to have booths for every artist. If you would like to share your booth by alternating days that is fine but all artists will need to be approved by us before working the event.

​

Please let us know in the application notes who you would like to share with and who is the “main applicant’ to be invoiced.

​

We require at least 50% deposit to be paid within one week of approval and the remaining full payment must be paid at least 6 weeks prior to the event.
